What is a ribbon cutting?
A Ribbon Cutting is just what you probably think it is — an event centered on the cutting of a ribbon to signify the unveiling of something grand, spectacular, and new.
When to have one
- Opening a new business
- A change in management
- Reopening after catastrophe or pandemic
- Completing a remodel
- A new business location
- Unveiling a product or service
- New Chamber membership
Tip: contact the Chamber before finalizing a date — your grand opening doesn’t need to happen on your actual opening day.
What the SV Chamber provides
- A ribbon that can be rolled out across the crowd
- Ceremonial scissors used to cut the ribbon
- An MC to gather the crowd, cut the ribbon, and pose for photos
- Markers so those in attendance can sign the ribbon
- Announcement in the Chamber newsletter
- Website promotion on the Upcoming Ribbon Cuttings page
Something grand to unveil?
Let the Chamber bring the ribbon, the scissors, the MC — and the crowd.
