The Greater Silicon Valley Region
Silicon Valley is more than a place — it is a global center of innovation, talent, and possibility.
Not a city. A concept and a region.
Often referred to as The Valley or the South Bay, Silicon Valley can be defined in many ways. It is home to many of the world’s leading companies and one of the highest concentrations of engineers, scientists, software developers, data analysts, mathematicians, and entrepreneurs anywhere in the world.
The region’s roots are agricultural — known for its orchards, canneries, and fertile lands. That spirit of cultivation — growing, adapting, and building from the ground up — remains embedded in the region’s DNA today.
Since the rise of the modern technology era in the 1960s, Silicon Valley has stood at the forefront of innovation: a place where bold ideas take shape, where collaboration fuels progress, and where innovation continues to redefine what’s possible.
