More than a century of service
Welcome to the Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce & Innovation, born in the heart of today’s Silicon Valley.
The Chamber was established in 1916 as a volunteer group of local business leaders and officially incorporated in California in 1947. In 2019 the organization expanded to become a regional chamber serving the greater Silicon Valley.
By the 1960s, the emergence of the semiconductor industry had transformed this valley into the technological heart of the world. The Chamber has grown alongside it ever since — and in June 2025 was rebranded as the Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce & Innovation.
Today the SV Chamber is independent and regional by design. We are not a city chamber. Business in this valley crosses municipal lines constantly — suppliers in one city, customers in the next, employees commuting across three more — and our members deserve an organization built the same way.
